Hanxi Chen
Hanxi drives the vision, strategy and execution of the company. She has over 20 years of management experiences at various technology companies. She is a proven business leader with a strong track record of building high performance teams and bringing great products to market efficiently. Prior to cofounding WiFrost, she held senior management positions at SUN Microsystems/ Oracle, Greenplum/EMC, Nexenta and Adaptrum. Hanxi Received a MS and PhD degree from Penn State University in Materials Science and Engineering.

Umair Qayyum
Umair drives the technology vision with a relentless customer focus to make WiFrost Wireless 5G-ready to solve the rural broadband gap. With his end to end technology understanding and experience of designing and building modern mobile and wireless networks, he revels in decision making involving technology, operational and usability trade-offs required to build modern wireless communication networks. Umair has held various product, technical sales and engineering roles at Adaptrum, LCC International, Turnotech and Sprint. These experiences included technical consulting and advising AT&T, Ericsson, Samsung, and Microsoft on various 3GPP and non-3GPP wireless technologies. Umair received his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Oral Roberts University and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Paul Garnett
A tireless digital equity advocate, Paul Garnett has over 25 years of experience in domestic and international telecommunications and technology sectors. Paul is Founder and CEO of Vernonburg Group, a consulting firm based in Savannah, Georgia, USA that works with large and small corporate, international organization, and government clients to close the global broadband gap, with a focus on policy and regulation, access to financing, technical due diligence, program development, and project management. Prior to starting Vernonburg Group, Paul spent 12 years at Microsoft where he created and led the Airband Initiative, leveraging a partner-driven approach to extend broadband access to unserved communities in the U.S. and in over 20 emerging markets. Prior to Microsoft, Paul worked for CTIA-The Wireless Association, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, the law firm Swidler Berlin, and the management consulting firm Price Waterhouse.
